International Dinners


Join us on a culinary journey across the country and around the globe with our popular  INTERNATIONAL DINNER SERIES - a night of fabulous food & drink paired with great conversation and entertainment!  We offer a variety of dates and dining experiences, both formal and informal, giving you the opportunity to enjoy as many dinners as you would like!

Each dinner is $90 per person ($60 is tax deductible with 100% of the proceeds supporting FM Opera).  Space is limited and seats are filled on a first come, first served basis.  (12-20 people per dinner is average for most venues).  Information with your host's name and address will be sent to you in advance of each dinner.

   Starry, Starry Night
  Thursday, June 8th
   Venue: Fargo Country Club

Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's trip to the south of France where he painted his most famous painting "Starry Starry Night" - this French-themed dinner, prepared by Cordon Bleu chef Torey Ostlund, will have you saying "Ooh-la-la" in no time!  The evening includes entertainment by local mezzo-soprano Holly Janz & pianist Stephen Sulich.  Bon appétit!

2017 IACP Cookbook Award Winner & Forbes Magazine "30 under 30" in the food & drink category Chef Molly Yeh returns again this year to prepare a truly unique and special food and beer-pairing dinner as part of our series.  Inspired by her Asian & Jewish roots, her time in NYC where she attended the Juilliard School, and now her life as a farm-girl outside of Grand Forks, Yeh offers a unique & eclectic multi-course dinner experience that you will not soon forget.  And, you might even be able to get her to autograph your cookbook if you bring it along with you!  SPECIAL PERFORMANCE - "A Cowboy Cabaret" with Lucy Thrasher, Peter Halverson, Fred Heringes & Stephen Sulich!  Yee-haw!!

 A Night in Casablanca   
  Saturday, June 24th
  Venue: Home of Dr. Dennis Staton

 Discover the delights of North African  cuisine with this dinner prepared by an  authentic chef from Casablanca, Morocco.  Think warm ocean breezes, colorful exotic  dishes, and soothing scents & spices.
