Gyan Singh Maria- Music Director/Collaborative Pianist

Born in Los Angeles, Hungarian and Indian conductor/coach Gyan Singh Maria has freelanced in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Hungary. Gyan’s experience with the operatic repertoire ranges from Monteverdi to Menotti. He has participated in productions of Tosca, La Fille du
régiment, Les Pêcheurs de perles,
and Attila with Sarasota Opera; The Pilgrim’s Progress with British Youth Opera; Così fan tutte with Berlin Opera Academy; Le Nozze di Figaro with the Austrian American Mozart Academy; and Suor Angelica with Opera Lucca. In January, he will be playing selections from Das Rheingold,
Tristan und Isolde,
and Parsifal for New York Dramatic Voices’ 2024 Winter Intensive. As a symphonic conductor, Gyan has guest conducted orchestras throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, including the South Liverpool Orchestra and the Trans-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. A keen learner of languages, he speaks German, Italian, French, Hungarian, and Russian in addition to his mother tongue, English. He enjoys composing, writing, and practicing other instruments. Gyan is grateful to his mentors, colleagues, family, and friends for their guidance and support. He is currently based in Budapest.
